Vancouver 2010?
Written by Shane McKenzie

It's been quite some time since my last entry, and this time I have been asked the question many times... "Are yiou going to have a crack at Vancouver in 2010?"

Well I have for some, reluctantly saying that I can't see it happening, mainly due to the costs involved, but a few things have changed over the last few months, and I am now seriously having a crack at being the brakeman for Jeremey's 4 Man team. I am seeking out spopnsorship from various sources and I have changed my training back to the power based style from the 100m/400m training that I have been doing for the last 12 months.

Jeremy called me up and coaxed me bac k to the squad, encouraged me to seek sponsorship and do another Olympics with him. This time around I may have stiffer competition in trying out for the team.

This is where the latest journey starts...

Bobsleigh is a very expensive sport and sadly I am not a rich person, so I have to raise money through means of fundraising and seeking sponsorship. The amount is generally not much, but all the little bits help. Please make the effort to send a few $$$ my way for future funding...

How did I get to the Olympics?

It all started soon after the finish of the 2005 season. Jeremy Rolleston called me up and asked if I wanted to push him in the 2-Man Bobsleigh for the upcomping season. He had decided to give the driving a go and started making plans on how to go about doing it. He had this idea that he could make it to the Olympics as a driver of a 2-Man Bob, he just needed someone to push him to a fast start time. That's when the phone calls stared to me, I had already had 2 good years of pushing a Bobsleigh at World Cup level and knew what it was all about...
